“I enjoyed connecting with everyone who attended the workshops. I made new friends from all around the country, people with a diverse range of abilities and backgrounds and loved that they got to experience Mackay if they were not from here”

An Unconventional Tour

AN UNCONVENTIONAL TOUR

UNCOVERED is our 3 year local touring project aims to uncover untold stories.

Through collaborative and original storytelling audiences are taken on unexpected tours where we create, disrupt & provoke in public and unconventional spaces and make visible the invisible and give voice to the voiceless.

An Unconventional Tour is tour 2 of the 3 part series and will explore the uncomfortability that comes with closeness, the strange and unfamiliar and address where our unconscious biases come from, how opinions and attitudes are formed.

As part of Mackay Festival of the Arts audiences will don headsets and be guided down quirky laneways, through hidden car parks & into disused shop fronts as they become immersed in live performance, video and art works where the underbelly is revealed and the unconventional is embraced.
