Lyrically intense

Participants joined acclaimed Brisbane spoken word artists Angela Peita, Anisa Nandaula and phenomenal Cairns based hip hop artist Morganics for a 3 day workshop series to create their own original poetry and songs based on difference, bias and uncomfortability.

Their original work was converted to large scale braille decals on shop front windows and performed as part of An Unconventional Tour route.

Workshops were open to everyone and in particular encouraged people who use augmentative & alternative communication, who are low vision, blind or deafblind, young people who have disability living in group and/or foster homes and those who are the primary carers for their parents.

The workshop weekend ran from Friday 24 - Sunday 26 May 2019 at a fully accessible venue.
