Crossroad Arts is passionate about creating opportunities for people with disability who are serious about developing their skills in in contemporary performance.

We offer artistic development programs that are designed to help people grow as artists by providing rigorous, skills-based training in collaboration with professional artists.

 


 

Dancing with Ansel

Dancing with Ansel is a café exhibition showcasing the recent photographic works of Crossroad Arts Ambassador and Artist in Residence, Brenden Borellini. It features photographs of speculator natural landscapes across the USA, taken by Brenden. Join Brenden and a panel of other artists – with and without disability – as they discuss how to create more inclusive arts and cultural events.

Panel Discussion: The discussion will take place from 4-5pm
Exhibition Opening and Cost: Exhibition opening is from 5.30pm-6.30pm and is free for all to come along. Works from the exhibition will also be for sale

An Unlikely Tour

Sit back, relax and uncover the lesser known side of Mackay on our ‘An Unlikely Tour’ bus tour. Through the beauty of poetry, music, performance and projection, come see artists with and without disability join together to explore the themes of strength and vulnerability in a series of unlikely encounters. An Unlikely Tour is part of Mackay Festival of the Arts.

Location: Departure point for this bus tour is at the Tourist Information Centre, 320 Nebo Rd, West Mackay QLD, 4740
When: Thursday July 26 – Saturday July 28 2018, 6-9pm nightly
