UNCOVERED is our 3 year local touring project aims to uncover untold stories.

Through collaborative and original storytelling audiences are taken on unexpected tours where we create, disrupt & provoke in public and unconventional spaces and make visible the invisible and give voice to the voiceless.

An Unconventional Tour is tour 2 of the 3 part series and explored the uncomfortability that comes with closeness, the strange and unfamiliar and address where our unconscious biases come from, how opinions and attitudes are formed.

As part of Mackay Festival of the Arts audiences donned headsets and were hosted by roller skating tour guides down quirky laneways, through hidden car parks & into disused shop fronts as they become immersed in live performance, video and art works where the underbelly is revealed and the unconventional is embraced.

An Unconventional Tour consisted of 4 performances from Wednesday, 24 July to Saturday, 27 July 2019. The tour commenced at 55 Wood Street and was for a duration of approximately 3 hours ending at 9th Lane where tea and supper were served.

The event was Auslan interpreted, audio described and the program was provided in braille. The tour was fully accessible and a minibus was provided for those who required transporting between tour stops.
